300+ 5-Star Reviews
A properly aligned car tracks straight, steers where you point it, and quits eating the edges off your tires. At Retro Auto Works, our ASE certified techs measure every angle against your vehicle’s factory specifications and show you the readings before and after, so you can see what changed. Every alignment is backed by our 2-year, 24,000-mile warranty on qualifying work. Bring your car to our Pottstown or Glenside location and we’ll get it sorted.
Alignment drifts gradually, usually after a hard pothole or a season of rough roads. These are the things that give it away.
Let go of the wheel on a flat, straight road and see what happens. A car that drifts steadily left or right is the most recognizable alignment symptom there is.
If you’re driving straight but the wheel is turned off-center, the alignment is compensating for something. It’s a small annoyance that points at a real measurement problem.
Alignment problems show up in your tread before they show up anywhere else. Wear concentrated on the inside or outside shoulder means the tire is meeting the road at the wrong angle.
Constant small corrections to stay in your lane get exhausting on a highway drive. Sometimes it’s alignment, sometimes it’s a worn suspension component underneath, and we check both before adjusting anything.

An alignment isn’t one measurement. It’s three angles per wheel, each doing a different job, all set against what your manufacturer specified.
The inward or outward tilt of the wheel viewed from the front. Camber that's off puts your tire's weight on one shoulder instead of spreading it across the full tread.
Whether your wheels point slightly toward each other or away. Toe is the angle most responsible for rapid, uneven tire wear, and small errors add up fast in miles.
The angle of your steering axis, which controls how the wheel returns to center after a turn and how stable the car feels at speed. Caster problems feel like vagueness more than pulling.
We’ll walk you through what the rack measured and what we adjusted. And while the car’s up, the free 75-point inspection gets photographed and sent to your phone, so you see the condition of everything else too.
You see where each angle started and where it ended, so there’s no question about what the alignment corrected.
Every car that comes in gets a full health and safety inspection at no charge, documented with photos, including the parts still in good shape.
If something underneath is loose enough that an alignment won’t hold, you’ll see a photo of it and an itemized estimate before we adjust anything.
An alignment is only as good as what it’s measured on, and how well the person reading it knows your vehicle’s specifications.
Our ASE certified techs set every angle to what your manufacturer published for your exact vehicle, not to a generic range that's close enough.
Three independent programs that audit how a shop operates, not just what it charges. All three cover both locations.
Qualifying alignment and suspension work carries our Confidence Plus warranty on parts and labor, honored nationwide.
A few things people ask before they bring the car in.
Alignment pricing depends on whether your vehicle takes a two-wheel or four-wheel alignment. Give either shop a call and we’ll quote it before you come in, so there’s no surprise when you pick the car up.
Most alignments are done in about an hour. If we find a worn suspension part that has to come out first, that changes the timeline, and we’ll tell you before we start rather than after.
There’s no fixed interval. A good rule is any time you put new tires on, after suspension work, or any time you notice pulling or uneven wear. Pothole season around here moves a lot of cars out of spec.
It stops it from getting worse. Tread that’s already worn unevenly stays that way, which is why catching alignment problems early saves you a set of tires rather than just extending the ones you have.
Domestic, Asian, and European vehicles. We have Honda master techs on staff and factory-grade tools and software for everything else that comes through the door.
We currently have loaner cars at our Pottstown location. An alignment on its own is about an hour, but if we find a worn suspension part that has to come out before the alignment will hold, the car stays longer. Ask about a loaner when you book and you’re covered either way.
Retro Auto Works is the best shop for wheel alignment because you see the numbers yourself. Free 75-point inspection, before and after readings, an itemized estimate you approve line by line, and a 2-year warranty behind qualifying work.
Noticing a pull, a crooked wheel, or tread wearing down on one edge? Give us a call and we’ll get it on the rack. We’ll walk you through what we measured and what we adjusted, and if something underneath needs attention first, you’ll see it and approve it before we touch anything. We’ve got shops in Pottstown and Glenside, so pick whichever one’s easier to get to.
